TaylorMade’s journey began in McHenry, Illinois, as Gary Adams introduced the iconic metalwood in 1979. The Adidas acquisition in 1997 redirected TaylorMade’s focus on becoming the top driver in golf. Under KPS Capital Partners from 2017, TaylorMade signed golf icons Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
