Established in 2006, YETI Coolers was born out of a shared passion for the outdoors, instilled in us during childhood adventures with our teacher-turned-entrepreneur-father. Immersed in hunting, fishing, and outdoor trade shows, we recognized a glaring gap in cooler quality. The existing options were subpar, with handles breaking, latches snapping, and lids caving in, limiting our outdoor enjoyment. Frustration became the catalyst for our mission: to craft a cooler that could withstand the rigors of outdoor life.

YETI Coolers was founded with a singular goal in mind: to create the cooler we’d use daily if it existed. Uncompromising in quality and designed for serious outdoor enthusiasts, our coolers emerged as a departure from mass-discount offerings. We prioritized durability, ensuring our products could endure the challenges of the field and water without breaking. Our commitment to innovation stems from firsthand experience, not market research. Today, YETI stands as a testament to reliability, performing seamlessly in the remote Alaskan wilderness, on Gulf coast redfish pursuits, or during laid-back backyard gatherings.
